Market pulse
What the Australian HR job market looks like today.
Counted from every live HR role advertised directly by an employer — career sites, job boards and public listings, pulled together daily and deduplicated. Recruiter-led roles are held separately and are not in these numbers. Free to read, nothing to sign up for.

What kind of HR work
Counted from the Careers in HR board on 5 September 2026. Roles move daily — these are a snapshot, not a live feed.
Why this is hard to find anywhere else
Nobody else is counting.
General job boards can tell you how many roles they carry. None of them can tell you how many HR roles exist across the country, because none of them look outside their own listings. This is assembled from all of them, plus employer career sites that never reach a board at all.
One job, counted once
The same role posted to three places is one entry here. Counts that double-count are worse than no counts.
HR, and only HR
No adjacent roles inflating the numbers. Every figure on this page is an HR role.
Collected daily
The board is rebuilt every night, so this reflects the market as it currently is rather than as it was.
What is not here
Counts, not listings.
This page deliberately shows shape rather than roles — no titles, no employers, no links. The board itself sits behind a subscription, partly because the content is aggregated from other people’s sites and partly because a free national view of every HR opening is worth rather more to a competing recruiter than to anyone actually looking for a job.
The roles behind these numbers.
One subscription opens the board itself, ranked against the roles you would actually take.
